Zermatt 2025 – 10th Anniversary Trip!

Ten years in the making on January 22, 23 and 24, 2025 one hundred and eighty CMSC members and 23 Warren Ski Club members traveled to Zurich, Switzerland for the 10th anniversary return trip started. We all headed for Zermatt for a week of skiing and sightseeing in one of the most popular ski areas in Europe. A ski area that allows you to ski into Italy for lunch and then return back to Switzerland for dinner.   We stayed in 7 different hotels, all of which were very nice giving wonderful service to all of our members.

January 25 to February 1 we spent a week in Zermatt skiing around the Matterhorn and Skiing in Cervinia, Italy.

While in Zermatt about 70 people toured a castle in Brig and then to Les Celliers de Sion for a wine tasting.

After a week in Zermatt the group went three different directions. One group of about 80 people traveled to Zurich and flew back to the United States. Another group of 50 people flew to Rome for 4 days.  The third group of 79 people traveled to Majorca, Spain for 4 days.

Anyone who has ever been to Rome know you will see ancient history and excellent Italian food and wine.

The group of 79 who went to Majorca, Spain, which is a Spanish island in the Mediterranean Sea south of Barcelona. This island has great Spanish food and beautiful scenery both natural and manmade.

While there  some of us took advantage of a  chance to learn how to make paella.

Other times we went out to eat and let the professional cook our meals.

We also saw beautiful scenery the Island of Majorca had to offer, including touring a cave.

We had people from almost every ski club and Cleveland Metro Ski Council. It was truly a wonderful trip that offered a great experience for everyone. I want to thank everyone for being a great group of people.
