Now that the air is a little colder and we’re actually hoping to see a few snowflakes, our thoughts turn to our favorite season of winter! Each year it seems that that first sight of snow really gets us moving really finalize those winter plans.
This is the time to plan and finalize those plans for a week long get away, a weekend or every weekend trip, or a day on the slopes. First visit the CMSC table at the Boston Mills/Brandywine Open House, October 11, 12 & 13, 2019 and find out what trips have already been planned by our Trip Director and what trips CMSC clubs are planning. Second visit the CMSC web site for any additional information, your club can ADD trip information or check the calendar and contact the trip leaders to sign up for the events already posted that interest you. Every year we hear some prediction of an upcoming snowy winter and I choose to believe them. If you need a little more motivation don’t miss the Warren Miller Movie showing Saturday 11/23/18 at Akron Civic Theater and Thursday 12/5/19 at the Capital Theater. That will surely get you in the skiing/boarding frame of mind.
After you make those plans be sure to check your equipment and replace what just won’t make it another year, get a tune up at one of the great shops in our area and replace any worn or old equipment. We are lucky enough to have several great shops with knowledgeable staffs waiting to advise skiers and boarders of all levels. If they don’t have what you need they can get it, just ask.
